In this first installment of Uplink Free Radio, we learn about the traditional Japanese food, "Kore". A versatile dish, it has been eaten for centuries on this Island nation.
We also learn about a whole lot of something at the end there.
The quality is fairly poor. This was recorded on my brother Duff's old I-pod which he gave to me, and I put linux on it so I could record with it. It crashed every 3 or 4 minutes, and skipped a lot, and there's a lot of weird noises. A more elegant recording solution is being researched.
English and Japanese speaking people alike will enjoy the first enstallment of Uplink Free Radio.
How are we percieved by others?
私たちは、どのように他の人に見られますか。

So I'm at 小学 this week. Here's the basic idea:

Yes, they have chickens at Japanese elementary schools. No, I don't know why. Maybe they think they're farmers or something.

Yes, they all want to be in the picture, wherever it may be taken. Not sure why they are supposed to be learning "Physical Education" when half the kids in America don't know what "P.E." stands for.

おれスパイだマン2!おれスパイだマン2!
...not Spider-man, mind you, he's Spider-man 2.

So... I didn't have anything to do. I played some video games. I went out on my bike, and headed east.
There was a sign for 埼玉県立大学, Or "Saitama State University" I guess you'd call it.
So I got all excited, like, hey, college! Learning, enlightenment, kids my age, darkrooms, even!

But the college was completely uninhabited. I didn't go into the complex, I was too scared. It was just this massive group of white metal and glass buildings, with no people anywhere on the camups. Maybe it's a ghost college. I'll be back though.
Then I was exploring some more, and I found some big holes in the ground in the woods.
Oh, and I saw a snake.

Yeah... so that was my adventure.
Tomorrow though, I don't hang out with 15 year olds and go hiking in the woods and find snakes and stuff... Tomorrow I put on a suit and go to 新宿 and go to a meeting for 3 days.
I'll see if I can make some kind of uplink, but I can't promise anything.
今週、新宿の会合に行きます。 月曜日から水曜日。 だから、たぶんアップリンクできない。でも、がんばります。
そして、みんあ新宿で、会いたい。夜で、忙しくない。

後で:
I did not in fact get a monitor. Create, the photo lab in 銀座, is now CLOSED. OVER. 終わり。 So I had to bring my film to 新橋, which took forever, so by the time I got to 秋葉原, all the places were about to close, so I got to look at monitors for about 10 minutes.
The samsungs were clearly the best, by far. Cause you could rotate em to make em vertical! Yes! Vertical! たて! But they're expensive. So I dunno.
So I didn't buy anything. But hey, I was in akihabara.. so... I went and played some video games in an arcade.
Sorry for this text, this non-hand written, easy to read nonsense. I'll try to keep it to a minimum.
Oh and here's a neat picture shin took, didn't even know I was in it.
